Course: The Book of Proverbs
Teacher: Sal Cusmano
Time: 7:00pm - 7:45pm
Both online and in person availability

The Book of Proverbs, the most practical book in the Old Testament, teaches us wisdom, or "skillful living," in the varied relationships and circumstances of life. Biblical Proverbs differ from worldly proverbs in that they are part of the inspired Word of God. Moreover, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction" (Proverbs 1:7). Our focus in this course will be how to read and understand the Proverbs, so that we may indeed "skillfully" apply them and thereby glorify God in our daily living. In addition to a verse by verse study of the foundational chapters of Proverbs 1-9, we will study individual Proverbs and clusters of Proverbs, and we will explore themes addressed across the Proverbs, such as "The  Friend," "The Fool," and "The Family."
